The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Fighters Table

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of personalities, and a thrilling plot showcasing divine entities, evil spirits, and sinister influences increasing in influence within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the latest installment of the new season follow below.

The Warrior Group Revealed

The third episode concluded with a major cliffhanger and revealed the premier party of characters who will branch out from the main group to embark on their separate journey, distinct from the other two tables.

This warrior group features the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, connecting the individual narratives before dividing into three distinct groups: Fighters, Planners, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for players who enjoy a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might appear out of place, but the actions of the third episode demonstrate why these five characters are best suited for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the group understands precisely where to head next after a intense initial meeting with the antagonists.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose passing initiated the narrative’s action—exploited the enemy for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking Thimble, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.

The antagonist then paid off his liabilities and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, above the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each character has a individual motive to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the companion and best friend, desires vengeance.
  • The knowledgeable figure is familiar with Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous location.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having defied his family’s wishes to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their status as prominent individuals in House Halovar could enable the team enter places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, Teor vowed a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now go with him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the rulers that control the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind too risky:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and The healer turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The target is marked for death by the clan.

This means them few options but to travel to Timmony in pursuit of the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

From episode three’s Cooldown, we find out that the warrior group won’t be around the following episode, leaving the other eight participants to round up the Explorers and Planners groups.

Fans can expect learning which adventurers will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, released on the upcoming Thursday.
